Ingredients
- 1 bottle red wine (Merlot, Garnacha, or similar medium-bodied)
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup orange liqueur (or grape juice for non-alcoholic)
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 large orange, sliced
- 2 apples, sliced
- 2–3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 bottle sparkling wine or club soda (for topping before serving)
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine red wine, apple cider, cranberry juice, and orange liqueur (or grape juice).
- Add fresh cranberries, orange slices, apple slices, and cinnamon sticks.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to meld.
- Before serving, top with sparkling wine or club soda for fizz.
- Stir gently and ladle into glasses, making sure each serving has fruit.
Notes
For a sweeter sangria, add maple syrup or honey to taste. Swap red wine for white or rosé for a lighter version. To make non-alcoholic, use sparkling grape juice and apple cider. Frozen cranberries also work and help keep the drink cold.
