- 12 oz elbow macaroni (or any pasta)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a casserole dish.
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, sauté ground beef with onion and garlic until browned.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and mix well.
- Stir in half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted.
- Transfer mixture to the casserole dish, sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
