Description

These Crack Burgers are juicy, cheesy, and bursting with flavor. Perfect for any occasion, from a sunny weekend cookout to a cozy indoor lunch, they combine melty cheddar, ranch seasoning, and tender ground chuck for a crave-worthy bite every time. Easy, customizable, and packed with comfort-food goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds ground chuck (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled beef bits
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles
  • Condiments: mayonnaise, mustard, or ketchup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, ranch dressing mix, sour cream, crumbled beef bits, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix gently until just combined do not overmix.
  2. Shape the mixture into equal-sized patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Press a small dimple in the center of each to prevent puffing.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until desired doneness. Avoid pressing down while cooking to retain juices.
  4. Let burgers rest for a few minutes before assembling. Toast buns lightly during this time.
  5. Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, and your favorite condiments. Add extra cheese if desired for a fully loaded Crack Burger experience.

Notes

Use high-quality ground chuck for maximum juiciness. Avoid overmixing the meat and always allow patties to rest after cooking. For a twist, add smoked paprika, garlic powder, or jalapeños. These burgers can also be baked at 375°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
