Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped assorted candy bars (Snickers, Twix, Kit Kat, Reese’s, M&M’s, Milky Way, etc.)
- Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Fold in dry ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in chopped candy bars and optional chocolate chips.
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared baking tray.
- Bake 22–25 minutes, until edges are golden and center is just set.
- Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
For best results, slightly underbake for a chewy texture. Press extra candy pieces on top before baking for a festive look. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days, or freeze individually for up to 2 months.
