Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (from 34 limes)
  • Honey or sugar syrup, to taste
  • Still or carbonated water, for dilution
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: lime slices, mint leaves, or a pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Roll limes on a countertop to release more juice.
  2. Microwave for 10 seconds if desired to soften (optional).
  3. Squeeze fresh lime juice into a jug.
  4. Stir in honey or sugar syrup until dissolved.
  5. Add cold still or sparkling water to preferred strength.
  6. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  7. Pour over lime mixture and garnish as desired.

Notes

You can make a concentrate in advance by mixing lime juice and sweetener, refrigerating for up to a week, and adding water and ice when ready to serve. Works well with lemon instead of lime, and can be made low-sugar using honey or sugar substitutes.
