Description

Mozzarella Cheese Skulls are the ultimate spooky snack for Halloween. With just a few mozzarella balls and a silicone skull mold, you can create creepy yet delicious cheese bites perfect for party platters, salads, or themed dishes. Simple, fun, and unforgettable, these skulls bring both flavor and fright to your holiday spread.

Ingredients

  • Mini mozzarella balls (ciliegine style works best)
  • Silicone skull mold (oven-safe)
  • Olive oil or herbs (optional, for flavor)
  • Paper towels for blotting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain and blot mozzarella balls dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Place 1–2 mozzarella balls into each cavity of a skull-shaped silicone mold.
  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes until cheese softens and takes shape.
  5. Press cheese gently into molds with the back of a spoon, blot excess moisture, then refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  6. Carefully unmold skull-shaped mozzarella and arrange on a platter or add to Halloween dishes.

Notes

Always blot mozzarella before molding to prevent soggy skulls. Use oven-safe silicone molds for best results. Add herbs, chili flakes, or pesto for extra flavor. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
