Description
Golden, buttery Hawaiian rolls stuffed with juicy broiled beef patties and oozing melted cheese these pull-apart sliders are fast, flexible, and perfect for game day, busy weeknights, or last‑minute get‑togethers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1½ pounds ground beef (85% lean)
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 6 ounces American cheese, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Lettuce, sliced tomato, and pickles, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat broiler. Shape beef into 12 equal mini patties; season both sides with salt and pepper. Arrange on a foil‑lined baking sheet.
- Broil ~8 minutes, flipping halfway, until browned and cooked through; drain any excess fat.
- Reduce oven to 350°F (175°C). Split the connected Hawaiian rolls horizontally. Place bottom half in a baking dish.
- Layer cheese, patties, then more cheese; cap with the top rolls.
- Brush tops with melted butter; sprinkle sesame seeds. Bake 8–10 minutes until cheese melts and rolls are lightly toasted.
- Slice into individual sliders. Serve with lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
Notes
- Watch the broiler closely to prevent overcooking.
- Go easy on sauces before baking to avoid soggy bottoms—serve sauces on the side.
- Make‑ahead: shape and season patties up to 24 hours in advance.
- Variations: add caramelized onions; use cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack; try pineapple for Hot Hawaiian sliders.
- To keep warm for parties, cover with foil and hold in a low oven.
- Freeze after baking: wrap tightly and reheat in the oven.
