Description

This Santa Cheese Board is a cheerful, edible centerpiece that transforms an ordinary cheese platter into a festive holiday showstopper. With its bright colors, simple ingredients, and adorable Santa face design, it’s the perfect appetizer to bring joy to any Christmas gathering. Kids and adults alike will love assembling and enjoying this creative, delicious board together.

Ingredients

  • Colby Jack cheese squares (for Santa’s face)
  • White cheddar slices (for beard and hat trim)
  • Pepperoni slices (for Santa’s red hat)
  • Mozzarella pearls or small cheese balls (for fluffy hat border)
  • Black olives (for Santa’s eyes)
  • Cherry tomato or red grape (for Santa’s nose)
  • Round crackers (for serving or base)
  • Green grapes (for garnish)
  • Rosemary sprigs (for a festive touch)

Instructions

  1. Lay down Colby Jack cheese squares in a rectangle near the center of the board to form Santa’s face.
  2. Arrange pepperoni slices in a triangle shape above the cheese face to create Santa’s hat.
  3. Use white cheddar slices or mozzarella pearls to form the brim of the hat and a fluffy pom-pom at the top corner.
  4. Build Santa’s beard with cubes or slices of white cheddar, layering to create a wavy, full look.
  5. Cut thin strips of cheese to form Santa’s mustache above the beard.
  6. Add black olives for eyes and a cherry tomato or red grape for Santa’s nose. Add small cubes of Colby Jack for rosy cheeks.
  7. Surround the edges of the board with round crackers, green grapes, and rosemary sprigs for color contrast.
  8. Cover the board with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving time. Serve chilled with extra crackers and small tongs.

Notes

You can prep the cheeses up to a day ahead and store them separately in airtight containers. Assemble the Santa face just before serving for the freshest presentation. Add cranberries or mini candy canes for extra holiday flair.
