Description
These viral scallion pancake croissants are the ultimate 3-ingredient air fryer snack, combining flaky croissant-style layers with savory green onion goodness. Quick, crispy, and unbelievably addictive, they’re perfect for busy days when you want something fancy without the effort.
Ingredients
Scale
- Frozen scallion pancakes (thawed for exactly 5 minutes)
- 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds or chili flakes (optional topping)
Instructions
- Remove frozen scallion pancakes from the freezer and let them thaw at room temperature for exactly 5 minutes until flexible but not sticky.
- Peel off the plastic film, stack two pancakes, and cut them into 8 equal triangles like a pizza.
- Take one triangle and roll it tightly from the wide edge toward the point, tucking the tip underneath to seal.
- Brush the tops lightly with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or chili flakes if using.
- Place rolls in the air fryer basket with space between them.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Remove and let cool for 2 minutes before serving so the layers crisp fully.
Notes
Do not over-thaw the pancakes or the layers will stick together. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even browning and maximum flakiness.
