Ingredients
- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
- 8 small flour tortillas (street taco size)
- 8 slices American cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup sliced pickles
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle juice to make the burger sauce. Set aside.
- Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions.
- Press each portion of beef into a thin, even layer directly onto one side of each tortilla.
- Season the beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat a large skillet or flat griddle over medium-high heat.
- Place each tortilla beef-side down onto the hot skillet and press firmly with a spatula.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the beef develops a crispy crust.
- Flip the tortilla, place one slice of American cheese on the cooked beef, and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until the tortilla is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet and top with shredded lettuce, diced onion, sliced pickles, and burger sauce.
- Fold in half and serve immediately.
