Description

These Texas Roadhouse Rolls are soft, fluffy, and buttery   the perfect copycat recipe to bring restaurant-style rolls to your home kitchen. Paired with sweet cinnamon honey butter, they’re an irresistible treat for holidays, family dinners, or any time you crave warm, comforting bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Extra melted butter for brushing
  • For Cinnamon Honey Butter:
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Warm milk slightly and stir in yeast and sugar. Let bloom until foamy.
  2. In a bowl or stand mixer, combine yeast mixture with melted butter, egg, and part of the flour. Mix until combined.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (1–2 hours).
  6. Punch down dough, roll out into a rectangle, and cut into squares or rectangles.
  7. Place rolls on a baking tray, cover, and let rise again until nearly doubled.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Brush warm rolls with melted butter.
  10. For cinnamon honey butter, beat softened butter with honey, powdered sugar, and cinnamon until fluffy. Serve with warm rolls.

Notes

For the fluffiest rolls, don’t rush the rising process. Store baked rolls in an airtight container for 2 days or freeze up to 3 months. Reheat before serving for best results.
