Description

These heart shaped Valentine’s Caprese skewers are a romantic, no-cook snack made with juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fresh basil, and a sweet balsamic glaze. Simple, healthy, and elegant, they’re perfect for Valentine’s Day parties or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup grape or cherry tomatoes
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice each grape tomato diagonally and rotate the halves to form heart shapes.
  2. Pat mozzarella balls dry with paper towels.
  3. Wash and dry basil leaves.
  4. Thread a tomato heart onto a skewer, followed by a basil leaf and a mozzarella ball.
  5. Repeat until skewers are evenly assembled.
  6. Arrange skewers on a serving platter.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil if using.
  8. Season lightly with salt and pepper and serve immediately.

Notes

For best presentation, assemble just before serving and drizzle the balsamic glaze at the last moment to keep basil fresh and vibrant.
