- ½ cup sugar (or honey for natural sweetness)
- 3 cups cold water
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 4–5 whole cloves
- Orange slices and lemon wedges
- 2–3 cinnamon sticks for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat until sugar dissolves completely, then remove from heat.
- Brew 3 cups of black or chamomile tea and let it cool slightly.
- In a large punch bowl, combine cranberry juice, blood orange juice, and lemon juice.
- Stir in the brewed tea and simple syrup until well mixed.
- Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and whole cloves. Stir gently to blend flavors.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors develop.
- Before serving, remove the whole cloves and add orange slices, lemon wedges, and cinnamon sticks.
- Serve chilled over ice or gently warm for a cozy fall drink.
Notes
Remove whole cloves before serving to young children. Adjust sugar or honey to taste depending on the natural sweetness of your juices. For a fun variation, add grape juice for deeper color or use peppermint tea for a cool twist. Make up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate until ready to serve.
